Magazine committee meeting (20 July)

As most of the members couldn’t attend the magazine committee meeting we held today, I am posting the details about it in here.
The points we discussed today were…

The college has decided that as part of the tenth year celebration, this years’ college magazine will be a magazine + souvenir.
By a souvenir we mean some articles about this college by our old principals, alumni students and current students. Also some old photo graphs. The achievements of this college in these 10 years. In short the journey of this college in the past 10 years.
So for this, what the magazine committee members should do is that, try go get someone in your class write an article about the college, and if you or any of your friends know any passed out students try to make them write something about our college for the souvenir.

The next most important thing is that we should start collecting advertisements for the college magazine. As the souvenir is included with the magazine this time, it will consist of double the number of pages, and hence will be double the cost to publish. So the fund of the college magazine is the most important aspect we need to think about now.
If there are students in your class who are expert in fund raising (have experiences with Yagna Dhruva fund raising and sponsorship collecting) then include them along with you and try to get as many ad as you can.

As I said in my campaign, I was planning to start an online magazine. But when we presented this idea before the college, they accepted it and now they are going to make a site of college which will contain the projects, mini-project and seminar papers of our students, along with the articles of the students. But this will be an entirely official site. And so, I was wondering if students will feel a bit shy towards posting anything in it. So I want an opinion from the students if I should start an informal blog for the students art and literary works. Just for the students. So as you could post in it without hesitating. So please give me your views on this. (Please comment on this post, or just message me. (You can comment even if you are not a magazine committee member and give me your view about this.)

The work of the class magazine should be started immediately. And try to finish it before October. That is, every class should publish their class magazine on September last week.

And anyone who wishes to be in the design committee of the magazine can contact me. But we need the design works to start only after the class magazine works are published.

(If you have doubts regarding the above, please contact me…)
